Testimonies

Andrew's
I was born and raised in a Christian home.  My father was a missionary, so growing up on the mission field was a great experience.  Although I had made a profession of faith when I was 12 years old I knew that I was not saved.  During my teenage years I became rebellious and wanted my own way in life.  Promising my dad that I would go to Bible college for one year I attended Crown College in Powell, TN.  While there the Lord began to work on my heart.  Through the tragic accident of a missionary friend of mine the Lord began to deal with me about my salvation.  Not being able to fight it any longer I accepted Christ as my Savior in my junior year of college.  After accepting Christ, the Lord began to work in my heart about going back to the mission field.  After much prayer I felt the Lord leading me to go back to Uganda, where I had grown up.
While attending Crown College the Lord allowed me to meet a godly young lady named Jacky.  She had also surrendered her heart to the Lord to be a missionaries wife in Africa.  On June 5, 2000 she became my wife and we began deputation for Uganda in the spring of 2001.  In 2002 we arrived in Uganda and have been working in the town of Mbale since 2003.

Jacky's

Like my husband, I also had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home.  At the age of 12, I realized that just because my parents were saved and just because I was a "good" person, that did not mean that I was saved.  The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart over several months telling me that I was not saved and finally I asked Jesus to save me.

Through my childhood, my parents always wanted my sisters and I to just do God's will in our lives.  They were faithful to God and faithful to church and today all 4 of their daughters are serving the Lord.  While in high school, a missionary to Tanzania came to our church.  I told the Lord then that I was willing to go even to Africa if that was His will for my life.  While in Bible college, God kept that desire to be a missionary in my heart.  That's where I met Andrew and we were married soon after graduation.  I am so happy that the Lord wants to use us to serve Him!
